Hong Kong-Mainland Creative Initiatives 2018 is a project that aims to foster closer collaboration between the creative industries and enterprises of Hong Kong and the Mainland. Framed by THREE keywords - [Foster], [Nurture], and [Inspire], the 12-month long project encompasses a series of programmes that will promote active business-matching, knowledge-sharing, and cross-border collaboration between Hong Kong and the Mainland. The Initiatives is in alignment with the national development strategies involving "One Belt One Road Initiative" and "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area"; and strives to further strengthen the "Design Twin Cities" development, using Hong Kong and Shenzhen as a starting point and reaches out to other cities in the Mainland.


The Competition

Under the keyword [NURTURE], the competition with a design and business focus, aims to breed and provide support for young entrepreneurs, with good design and business ideas, to launch their first product/series of products. The competition will consist of 2 rounds of judging and a business-matching session where all the shortlisted participants will have the chance to meet with the judging panel and potential brand/manufacturers from Shenzhen.
